Library Book Sale

This past weekend, it was DairyFest, in my neck of the woods. It is Wisconsin after all you have to get cheese involved one way or another. The library also has its annul book sale. I had to resist and by ONLY two books this year, because I did not want to over do it....this year like last year.:))

My gems that I found were:
The Pillars of the Earth by

  1. I read "Pillars of the Earth" 20 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. IN fact, you will come across a 5-letter word in there (which I won't mention here) that is used only once. I went on to use it many, many times in Scrabble games, much to the frustration of my opponents. Trust me, I think you will know it when you see it. Hint: It begins with a J.

  2. Oryx and Crake is one of my favorites. Atwood is a master. I love scouring thrift stores for bargain books. Good finds.

  3. Oryx & Crake has been on my TBR pile for some time.

Pillars of the Earth is a magnificent book. I have read it 3 times. Very worthy. I hope you enjoy it too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I like to see what you are thinking.
